BH aan de Waslijn: Our first Non-Alcoholic Lager

Some statements belong in the age of video tapes, Pogs, grumpy comedians with weird glasses, and ideas we should know better about by now. "Alcohol-free beer is like a bra on the clothesline; the best part is gone." If you still say that today, then you are actually hanging out to dry.

BH aan de Waslijn (Bra on the Clothesline) was not brewed as a joke. It's a statement. A protest against ideas and notions that have been circulating for years, while reality has long since caught up. Alcohol-free and low-alcohol beer has completely transformed in recent years. Modern brewing, different yeasts, better hops, tighter fermentation. Everything contributes to making beers that are fresh, full-bodied, and seriously good. 

This beer is our first real experiment towards a non-alcoholic pilsner replacement. Clear. Firmly bitter. Nicely refreshing. Exactly what you're looking for when you feel like a pilsner, but not the hangover. Not a watery concoction, not an excuse drink, no "this will probably be fine for someone who isn't used to anything." Just a good low-alcohol pilsner. Period.

BH aan de Waslijn hangs old ideas out to dry. It makes room for new flavors, new thinking, and above all: the freedom to drink what you want, without anyone having to make stupid comments about it.

So, if you still hear someone making that bra and clothesline comparison? You know better now, so call them out on it. This nonsense remark says nothing about beer, but everything about the person who keeps repeating it. Because if you think the "best" part of beer is the alcohol, then it might be time for a small intervention. Or at least a moment where you seriously question what on earth you are doing.
