Barley Wine in summer?

When you think of a summer beer, your mind quickly goes to a sunny terrace with a tall, beautiful Weizen, an easy-drinking IPA, or a refreshing Pilsner. You don't often think of Imperial Stout, Barley wine, or barrel-aged variants. In our opinion, that's unfair because there's a moment for every beer, and that has nothing to do with the season.
Of course, we understand the logic behind drinking lighter beers in the sun. First of all, your beer heats up quickly in the sun, and you're naturally looking for refreshment. Additionally, alcohol always seems to hit harder at these times, probably because your body is working hard to maintain your hydration.
Perfect with a Barbecue
There's no more enjoyable summer activity than barbecuing. Barley wines and imperial stouts pair exceptionally well with a good barbecue because they can stand up to the intense flavors of the food. Of course, you won't stock up on a crate of Barley Wine or Stout for a barbecue, but consider splitting a beautiful beer into 2 or 3 glasses, so you have a nice pairing with your main course.
Summer Evening
Sooner or later, there always comes a moment when the coolness of the night begins. The perfect time to cuddle up a little closer. To make a campfire, play games. The moment you wonder if you should grab your cardigan against the cold and the mosquitoes. THAT is the moment to take that beautiful beer out of the fridge.

Hours of Enjoyment
While you actively seek coolness in the summer during the day and try to maintain your hydration, in the evening you ensure your day is far from over. These kinds of beers are brewed for sipping. Slowly your glass empties. You're talking, playing, the night philosopher awakens in you… What? Is it already 1:00 AM? Time for bed!
