Imperial Sour - White Wine Barrel Aged

Together with Stone, we brewed an Imperial Sour. Kettle-soured before being fermented with a Farmhouse yeast from Lithuania. Not a red or black beer, but a blond beer packed with fruity flavours from the yeast, beautifully complemented by white wine barrels.

EBC is the color of beer. EBC stands for European Brewers Convention. The scale ranges from yellow (10) to red (25) to black (>70).

IBU

International Bitterness Unit

IBU is the bitterness of beer. Dutch pilsner is approximately 15-20 IBU, while a West Coast IPA can quickly reach 60 IBU. IBU is always in proportion to the alcohol percentage of the beer, so a heavy beer with high IBU can still taste sweet because the maltiness overpowers the bitterness.

Imperial Sour - White Wine Barrel Aged

When we asked the brewers from Stone what they would like to brew for a Barrel Aged Collab, they knew exactly what they wanted. It certainly wasn't going to be standard. We brewed an Imperial Sour. Kettle soured before it was fermented with a Farmhouse yeast from Lithuania. Not a red or black beer, but a blonde beer bursting with fruity flavors from the yeast that are beautifully complemented by the white wine barrels.
