Turf ‘n Surf is a tripel. We didn’t expect is either but this winter we felt like brewing a Belgian style beer. A regular tripel off course we didn’t brew, that’s too boring for us – welcome smoke and salt!
The minimum amount of peated malt in this beer give it that subtile smokey hint which we complement with a pinch of sea salt. We brewed Turf ‘n Surf with Summer hops, a fresh Australian variety with a bang. Next to the freshness, smoke and saltiness you’ll meet a traditional tripel with fruity esters from the yeast and a slight alcohol burn.
