EBC is the color of beer. EBC stands for European Brewers Convention. The scale ranges from yellow (10) to red (25) to black (>70).

IBU

79

International Bitterness Unit

IBU is the bitterness of beer. Dutch pilsner is approximately 15-20 IBU, while a West Coast IPA can quickly reach 60 IBU. IBU is always in proportion to the alcohol percentage of the beer, so a heavy beer with high IBU can still taste sweet because the maltiness overpowers the bitterness.

The story

Barrel Wave

We love cask maturation very much and put away a number of casks in our brewery every year. By maturing beer in a wooden barrel, it becomes more intense and full of flavor. Since we never know exactly how the beer will taste, this process is always exciting. The Barrel Wave is matured in a mix of Scotch whiskey barrels and American Bourbon barrels. The Scottish barrels give a soft taste and some tannins to the beer. The Bourbon provides a full sweet mouthfeel and aftertaste. Our brewers have blended these two types of cask to perfection. Put your feet up on the table, make a snack platter and enjoy this intense beer for an hour.
